Anime and Manga Thread.

I think starting it off with Kentaro Miura's "Berserk" is a fair choice. The first prototype of Berserk appeared in 1988. The first volume of the manga came out in 1990. It is still ongoing.

some day we'll convert you, you'll see :D

ternlef, you have to check out Berserk manga, because the story gets a real depth there where the anime ends! it's definitely my favorite manga in spite of never being finished. just the other day i watched the 3 movies (they basically cover the same story part as the anime series) and it felt so nice to go back to it again :)

Mononoke is a great anime, I agree. It is special and unique in many respects. Thanks for the nice review of it, I like how you described it :)

I've been meaning to watch Mononoke for a while now, that and Midori are quite high on my list.
Currently enjoying Hanasaku Iroha, rather cute and extremely well executed Slice of Life based around a relatively unique premise with a pretty great cast of characters so far. I'm about halfway through the series, but I'd certainly recommend for anyone recommended in a more lighthearted and cute watch

the cherry blossoms are about double meaning. although they are known as something familiar and lovely, the alternative meaning is terror and madness.

Junji Ito is great. Just finished reading Oyasumi Punpun for the first time. Asano's art style is terrific. The only manga I've ever read wholly and I enjoyed every minute of it.
